At Hennepin County, we work to develop a range of affordable housing options across income levels. We call it the affordable housing spectrum. We also work to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring. This spectrum is the heart of our housing strategy at Hennepin County—helping everyone across the continuum gain access to greater housing stability. Hennepin County’s housing work is tailored to our region, supporting residents along a spectrum of housing needs. We play a unique role as both a funder of affordable housing and a provider of human services, helping to create housing opportunities and guide people into those opportunities.
